1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of the My Legal Assistant, Inc. website (the “Website”). By using the Website, you agree to them. If you do not agree, please do not use the Website. In these terms, “we,” “us” and “our” mean My Legal Assistant, Inc., with offices at 450 S. Melrose Dr., Suite 125, Vista, CA 92081 and 620 N Redondo Dr, #B, Oceanside, CA 92057.

2. We are not a law firm

We are a registered legal document assistant, operated by Gabriel Morales. We are not attorneys. We cannot perform the legal services that an attorney performs, we cannot engage in the practice of law and we cannot represent you in court. We can prepare and organize documents at your direction and explain how the process works. We do not give legal advice.

San Diego County Registration No. 066. Bond No. CA799627.

Our legal notice: We are not attorneys. We cannot perform the legal services that an attorney performs. We cannot engage in the practice of law. The county clerk has not evaluated or approved my knowledge or experience, or the quality of our work. We cannot represent you in court. The information provided during all meetings does not, and is not intended to, constitute legal advice; instead, all information provided is for general informational purposes only.

3. The information on this Website is general

The content of this Website is for general information only. It is not legal advice and it may not apply to your situation. Laws, forms and court procedures change, so the information may be out of date. If you need legal advice, please talk to an attorney.

4. No attorney-client relationship

Using this Website, calling or texting us, filling out a form (including a form on Facebook or Instagram) or sending us an email does not create an attorney-client relationship, and it does not create a service relationship with us. We provide services only after we both agree to them in writing.

5. Our services and fees

Our services include paperwork for divorce, custody, child support, restraining orders and changes to existing orders, divorce mediation, notary public services and certified translations.

Our services and fees are described in the written agreement we sign with you. Your first meeting is free. Court filing fees and other costs charged by the court or by third parties are separate from our fees. We do not promise or guarantee any result, time frame or amount of savings. Decisions are made by the court, not by us.

6. Your responsibilities

You are responsible for giving us information that is accurate and complete, for reading and understanding every document before you sign it, for meeting court deadlines and for the decisions you make in your case.

7. Contacting us

Please do not send confidential or sensitive information through the contact form, a social media form, a social media message, email or text before we have an agreement in place. Those channels may not be secure. We will tell you how to share what we need when we talk.

8. Text messages

You can call or text us at (760) 500-5355. If you give us your mobile number, you agree that we may call or text you about your inquiry, your appointments and your documents. Message and data rates may apply. You can reply STOP at any time to stop text messages.

9. Advertising and social media

We may advertise on Facebook, Instagram and other platforms. Those platforms have their own terms and privacy policies, and we do not control them. A person who sees our ad is not our client. Testimonials and reviews show the experience of one person and do not predict the result in your case.

10. This Website is not for emergencies

If you or someone else is in danger, call 911. Do not use this Website, our social media pages or our phone numbers to report an emergency.

11. Links to other websites

This Website may link to websites that belong to other people, such as the San Diego Superior Court. We do not control those websites and we are not responsible for their content or their privacy practices.

12. Our content

The text, design, logos and other material on this Website belong to My Legal Assistant, Inc. or are used with permission. You may view and print them for your own personal use. You may not copy, sell or republish them without our written permission.

13. No warranties

The Website and its content are provided “as is” and “as available.” To the extent the law allows, we do not make any promise that the Website will always work, be free of errors or be current.

14. Limits on our responsibility

To the extent the law allows, My Legal Assistant, Inc. is not responsible for any loss that results from using this Website or from relying on its content. Nothing in these terms limits any right you have under the law that cannot be limited.

15. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California. Any dispute about the Website will be handled in the courts located in San Diego County, California.

16. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows when they were last updated. If you keep using the Website after a change, you accept the new terms.
